Hey there, I’m Rachna!
Rachna Tewari is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Yoga Teacher whose journey began in Patna, Bihar.
Inspired by the teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga and a deep-rooted connection to her Indian heritage, she embarked on a lifelong quest to explore the wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga. After completing her training in both Ayurveda and Yoga in the United States, India, and Germany. an essential component of her growth as a wellness coach has been frequent travel to India to spend time with Ayurvedic vaidya’s (Ayurvedic physicians) and master yoga teachers from various traditions.
She’s commitment to sharing this profound knowledge, offering personalized healing and preventative care through Ayurvedic sciences. When she is not working with clients, she loves doing her sadhana of yoga, cooking, spending time with family & collecting diverse Indian handlooms during her India trips.
What does Swasthyam mean?
"Swasthyam" (स्वस्थ्यम्) is a Sanskrit word having two roots: "Swa" (स्व) and "Sthya" (स्थ्यम्).
Swa (स्व) means "self" or "one's own." It refers to the individual or the essence of a person.
Sthya (स्थ्यम्) comes from the root "Stha" (स्थ) which means "to stand" or "to be established." It implies stability or being in a balanced, grounded state.
When combined, Swasthyam (स्वस्थ्यम्) translates to a state of being "established in oneself" or "being in a state of well-being." It signifies a state where the body, mind, and spirit are in balance and harmony, leading to health and wellness – a holistic concept that goes beyond physical health.
